Bring back radio dramas

And now kiddies, just like back in those days of yore...
Apparently when my dad was younger he heard The Fourth Tower of Inverness on public radio and purchased the first cassette in the series. I don't when exactly, but at some point my sibling and I took notice of this old cassette and used to play it all the time. We'd huddle up together in the dark, completely transfixed by the story and the sound effects. But my dad only had the one tape and didn't bother to purchase the rest until I was in a tweenager. I have so many memories falling asleep next to my sister every night listening to this series.
The story begins with Jack Flanders making his way up the mountain from the bay of Inverness toward the Victorian mansion owned by his aunt, Lady Jowls. Upon his arrival, Jack immediately notices the strange occurrences plaguing the estate. All of which seem to center on a mysterious jukebox, coming from the fourth tower of the mansion. His aunt insists, "There is no fourth tower of inverness." But the legend is that eight people, including Jack's late uncle, have entered the tower and never came back out again. Jack's obsession with getting inside the tower and finding the jukebox, takes him on a journey from deep in his own consciousness to other dimensions.
I used to think the story was ahead of it's time, but it was probably mostly a product of the early 70s. I have also tried in vain through the years to get partners and friends into The Fourth Tower of Inverness. People just don't feel the same way about radio dramas as they used apparently. Or more likely, they probably lack the imagination and attention span required.
